Registration starts October 20th and will close when all kits are claimed.

Holiday meal kits will include an 14-16 pound uncooked frozen turkey and ingredients that can be used to create a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal. You will need access to a kitchen with an oven. ***as available

Supplies are limited. Kits are available to families in need on a first come, first serve basis..

  • Individuals who sign up MUST be in the vehicle when picking up a holiday meal kit. If that individual is not in the vehicle, they MUST have a proxy listed prior to picking up their meal kit. The designated proxy will need to show proof of ID and it must match what is in our files. No exceptions.
  • Each household may only receive 1 holiday meal kit.
    • The USDA defines a household as residents at an address who share resources such as food and money. Based on the 2018 definition, roommates, family members, etc... who live at the same address but do not share resources are considered separate households.
  • You may only register for 1 distribution listed. Please be sure that you can be at the location listed on your date of distribution as this is the ONLY time you will be allowed to pick up your holiday meal kit.

    • Wednesday, November 19th at Cypress Creek Church: 211 Stillwater Rd, Wimberley, TX 78676, (5PM - 6PM)
    • Friday, November 21st at Hays County Food Bank: 1612 S IH35 Frontage Rd, San Marcos, TX 78666, (11AM - 2PM)
  • Please make sure that the person who signs up is the one who is picking up the holiday meal kit or is the designated proxy.
    • A proxy is a person who is designated by a client to act on their behalf. A proxy MUST be listed on sign up forms BY THE CLIENT and provide PHOTO IDENTIFICATION prior to picking up food. The client must identify the name and date of birth of the proxy DURING THE SIGN UP PROCESS.
    • A proxy can only pick up for themselves and a maximum of 2 additional clients (no more than 3 holiday meal boxes per person). A proxy can ONLY be an individual. No organization can be considered a proxy. Anyone who tries to pick up on behalf of a client without being identified as a proxy and showing a matching photo ID will have to be turned away.
  • Everyone who signs up for a kit will receive one at their designated distribution. There is no need to come early. You can come during the second half and potentially reduce your wait time.
